I speak of attaining a high traffic count to youer websites by the means of hiring a social media experts who will get you more subscribers. The project has captivated my attention for many things but the strategies I’m going to share aren’t restricted to only WordPress, but for other social mediua sites too. Wix is definitely suitable for lots of website owners. I don’t mean that some features are missing, but it simply doesn’t offer you the same great experience as or other platforms. Once you start using it you realize that something is missing. At the same time it doesn’t excel in any particular area. Wix is an all-in-one website builder that has everything. is an open-source software, meaning that you have the freedom to modify it as you wish. They sometimes launch provocative messages, just to generate some hype. No matter what they do, you will find about this in the press, ads or on social media. The team behind Wix is very active and loud. This was supposed to be a clever move, but in return it generated backlash. Wix sent expensive Bose headphones to influential WordPress users trying to convince them that their product is better. This was a part of the ad campaign described above. This ad campaign was a failed attempt to win customers and was negatively received by the community. They tried to portray WordPress as a glitchy solution and also touched a sensitive topic like mental health. In 2021, Wix decided to launch a few ads attacking WordPress and tried to denigrate them. In WordPress you can change your theme in 1 click and keep your content. Before you launch your site, you should choose your design carefully, as you won’t be able to change it afterwards. Once you launch your Wix website there is no way to switch your theme. With WordPress, you can export or import your content and in general do whatever you wish with it, because it’s yours and you have full control over it. They made this proces extremely difficult (or at least didn’t do anything to facilitate this process). In short, moving away from Wix is a hassle. If you decide to switch to another platform you will have to manually import (re-create) your pages or use a 3rd party service. There is no easy way to migrate your content from Wix. ![]() On the other hand, is an open source platform, you can use it for free, modify and even redistribute to others. They pour Millions of $ into advertising and if they stop doing it, the platform is gone (sooner or later). Of course they will praise their users, but in reality, all their moves will be guided by profit.Īlso, their main marketing channel is – paid ads.
